On May 10, 2025 as part of the project “Developing team spirit for the implementation and integration of EU values in Ukraine” (TEAM-EU-UA), co-funded by the European Union, a thematic master class was held in the Ukrainian Carpathians to mark Europe Day in Ukraine.
The representatives from Sumy State Pedagogical University a project coordinator, Professor Oleksandr Tomenko, a member of a team project Yuliia Bondarenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor were involved in this event.
The event aimed to promote European values through outdoor activities, informal learning and teamwork. Participants went on a hiking trip along a mountain route, which ended with the symbolic unfurling of the flags of Ukraine and the European Union. This was an expression of solidarity, friendship, support, and mutual understanding between the peoples of Europe.
The master class combined physical activity with educational material, during which participants discussed practices for implementing EU values in everyday life, sports, and educational initiatives. Young people shared their experiences, gained new knowledge, and strengthened their team spirit and mutual support skills.
The event was organized by the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE,” and partners and project coordinators from various organizations actively participated in its implementation.
The master class in the Carpathians served as an example of how joint activities, outdoor learning, and teamwork can effectively shape and spread the key values of the European Union among Ukrainian youth.
